Duane and my Uncle Scott have been best friends since they were 13 years old. Over the years Scott was very adamant about me never hanging out with "his friends". I was very close with Scott my whole life however, it was only very few times I was "allowed" to be around his friends, usually this was when I was in a relationship. There was a time or two where I did have contact with Duane like when I took them to a Rave when I was 19yrs old and then again when we were at the same New Year's Eve party on Guilford Road. There was also the time when we helped Scott and Ella move into their house, I remember thinking how funny and gorgeous he was! It wasn't until Ella Joy's birthday on Sunday February 15, 2009 that I reconnected with Duane and never let go. Scott organized a small bus trip to Ski Liberty to go tubing for her and group of her friend.
On that morning we had no idea that we were about to find the love of our lives! He said he knew that I was going to be there and he was ready, I on the other hand was very pleasantly surprised! We hugged each other to say hi, and at that moment...it was on! We flirted like crazy all day. We went down the tube hills together every time and I don't think I have ever felt happier. At the end bottom of the hill I grabbed his hand, and we did let go! Later in the day, Scott realized what was going on...and he was soooo not happy! We just giggled and hugged had the best day ever! It was truly love at first sight, and we have never been happier in our lives. Our relationship is magnificent.
Duane and I will be married at 12:00 Noon on Saturday February 13, 2010. We have sent each of you a candle that we would like for you to light at 11:30 a.m. that will mark the beginning our ceremony. At this moment we ask that everyone sends us well wishes, a small prayer and some positive energy. We believe we came up with a creative way to have everyone we love be joined together in unison for our special day.
The ceremony will be performed by my lifelong spiritual adviser/astrology teacher/ and karmic Mother, Linda Brady. I will be escorted by my mentor and karmic Father, Michael Brady.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank everyone who took the time to look at, be a part of and contribute to our very special experience. It is truly rare that you find a special love like ours, we are so excited to start our journey as husband and wife and share it will all of the people we love.
